Roadside First Response

  1. Turn on hazards. Don’t move injured — unless fire or traffic danger.
  2. Check breathing. Tilt head, lift chin. If no pulse — start CPR.
  3. Press hard on bleeding. Don’t lift to check. Add cloth on top.
  4. Keep them warm and still. Talk to them. Note time of injury.

  • If anyone is unconscious or not breathing.
  • Stay on the line — let the dispatcher guide you.
🚗Crash & Head
  1. Call 112 — give exact location and number of people
  2. Hazards on. Do not move them unless fire or traffic danger
  3. Keep head/neck still. Control bleeding with firm pressure
🩸Bleeding
  1. Press hard with both hands — do not lift to check
  2. Add cloth on top if soaked. Limb: tourniquet 2–3 in above
  3. Note the time. Stay on the line with 112
❤️Heart & Airway
  1. No breathing/pulse: hard compressions 100–120/min, 2 inches deep
  2. Choking, cannot cough: 5 back blows, then 5 abdominal thrusts
  3. Alternate until clear or unresponsive — then CPR
Shock
  1. Call 112. Lay flat — do not let them walk
  2. Elevate legs 12 inches unless head/neck/spine injury
  3. Keep warm. No food, water, or medication
🧠Seizure
  1. Time it. Clear sharp objects. Do not restrain
  2. Nothing in the mouth. Cushion the head
  3. Call 112 if first seizure, over 5 minutes, injury, or in water
🥶Hypothermia
  1. Move to shelter. Remove wet clothes gently
  2. Warm chest/neck/armpits/groin — not the limbs
  3. No rubbing or massage. Warm drinks only if fully conscious
🥵Heat
  1. Heat stroke: call 112 — cool neck/armpits/groin fast
  2. Move to shade. Remove extra clothing. Fan while cooling
  3. Sip cool water only if fully conscious
🏥Trauma Hospitals
  1. Call 112 — dispatch routes to the right trauma level
  2. Do not self-transport major trauma if EMS is available
  3. Note time of injury and mechanism for the team
